The Flaming Lips

The Flaming Lips have been around since the 1980's. I have only heard their music since about two weeks ago.

Crime?

I don't know, but it's plausible. I just can't believe that I haven't heard The Flaming Lips before, because their music is absolutely fantastic. Soft Bulletin, I believe released in 1999, might be my top album of the year. The blend of guitars, synthesizers, and drum machines that Wayne Coyne achieves is nothing short of genius. If you haven't heard Soft Bulletin, or Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, I recommend them, and might even go so far as to call them essential listening.

It's the Algorithm

I've started a 5-song EP based around a song I completed when I was 17. It's called "It's the Algorithm".

I'm making the second song on the album avaliable before I finish it.

Hope you Enjoy!

My difficulty answering "Easy" questions

So, I was filling out an application to a certain college that I'm dying to attend, and I found relief when I saw the questions. The questions were standard fare, like "What sets you apart", "What makes a person in your line of work successful", things like that. Not seconds after feeling my relief, I tried to answer these questions. Any of them. To my dismay I found my brain completely devoid of any clever response.
These questions are not rocket science, nor even 8th grade Algebra, and yet I found them harder to answer than a function of calculus. It seems like this time in any humans life gives way to this uncertainty. Give a college student an exam, and with the right amount of work, we can all ace it.
There are no study courses for the questions pertaining to your life, which makes life the hardest exam of all.
